A Chablis faithful to the minerality and purity of its appellation

The estate

Founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot in Monthélie, the Albert Bichot house is one of the essential references of Burgundy. Under the direction of Albéric Bichot, the sixth generation to lead the company since 1996, it manages over 100 hectares of vines spread across six prestigious estates, including Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis. A pioneer in organic farming, Albert Bichot today offers the most extensive portfolio of organic wines in Burgundy.

The vineyard

This vineyard in Chablis spans 28 hectares divided into 34 plots. The vines, averaging 38 years of age, are rooted in the Kimmeridgian limestone-clay soils typical of the appellation. The plots have slopes ranging from 5 to 20% as well as varied exposures. This mosaic of terroirs, vinified plot by plot, gives the wine remarkable complexity.

Winemaking and aging

The alcoholic fermentation of the Chablis Domaine Long-Depaquit 2023 takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 10 to 11 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, which promotes its complexity while preserving its freshness.

Grape variety

This white Burgundy wine is produced from Chardonnay.
