Aile d'Argent 2016 rich and ethereal
The 2016 vintage allowed Chateau Mouton-Rothschild to harvest Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle in very good weather conditions. The alternation between very sunny days and fresh night was great for the grapes' maturity. These temperature changes have a positive impact on the flavours expressed. Aile d'Argent 2016 is a dry white wine, produced from special plots in Bordeaux that marvellously expresses these qualities.
Aile d'Argent 2016 has a beautifully intense, crystal-clear yellow hue. The nose is immediately striking, its aromatic purity and richness is dazzling. Mangoes, citrus fruits, nectarines and yellow peaches. The finesse and aromatic complexity of this white is sublime. After aeration, notes of English sweets with a nuance of flint-stone minerality. Gourmet and sensual at the same time, the wine has a balanced attack. The wine is precise and light. Fruity flavours tied with salinity come together just before the exemplary finish. It's wonderful.
