Château La Pointe 2015

A red wine from Pomerol with a harmonious finish

The Château la Pointe is a red wine produced in the Pomerol appellation. The vineyard, which covers a total area of 23 hectares, benefits from a diversified terroir composed of gravel soil with pebbles from the Isle terraces, gravel-clay soil, sandy soil over clay, and sandy soil on gravel. The blend consists of 84% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc. It is aged in barrels with 50% of them new.

The Château La Pointe 2015 shows a deep, opaque, rather violet and shiny, colour. On the nose, it has aromas of black fruit, cherry, blackberry and wild blueberry before revealing subtle floral notes (wallflower, violet). On the palate, the tannins are sweet and velvety. The wine is beautifully structured, ample and tense. The finish is extremely harmonious, fresh and palatable. A wine with refined tannins, persistent in fruit and elegant.
