The estate

Domaine Verget was founded in 1990 by Jean-Marie Guffens, head of the Burgundian wine estate Guffens-Heynen.

Originally from the French Flanders, Jean-Marie Guffens is a passionate winegrower who settled in the Mâconnais disctrict with his wife in 1976.

Made exclusively from grapes purchased from partner winegrowers, the wines of Domaine Verget seduce with their authentic and delicate expression of the fine Burgundian appellations such as Mâcon, Chablis or the Côte d'Or.

Julien Desplans has been working with Jean-Marie Guffens since 2006 and is in charge of buying the grapes, making the wine and choosing the blends.

The vineyard

"Lieu Secret" by Verget is a Mâcon-Pierreclos wine, an appellation which since the 2005 Decree refers to wines produced from vineyards located in the commune of Pierreclos.

This Mâcon-Pierreclos "Lieu Secret" 2021 wine by Verget is a 100% Chardonnay.
