Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Studio By Miraval Blanc 2025

Tasting

Appearance
Clear and radiant, the pale yellow hue of this white wine is enhanced by beautiful bright reflections.

Nose
The aromatic bouquet reveals great delicacy and lovely freshness. It exudes seductive scents of white flowers and citrus fruits such as pomelo, intertwined with notes of white-fleshed fruits reminiscent of peach, all underpinned by an elegant mineral framework.

Palate
The attack on the palate is lively and refreshing, unveiling savoury notes of pomelo, crisp green apple and white peach. The whole is sublimated by a beautiful mineral tension that extends towards a lingering finish, marked by a delicate saline touch.

Food and wine pairings
Ideal as an aperitif, this white wine also pairs wonderfully with seafood, shellfish or white fish. It will equally complement poultry served with a light herb sauce, marinated Mediterranean vegetables, as well as fresh goat cheeses.

Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate this vintage, it is recommended to serve it chilled, at a temperature between 8 and 10°C. While it is ideally enjoyed in its youth to take full advantage of its aromatic vivacity, it has cellaring potential allowing it to evolve favourably in the cellar until around 2030.

Other characteristics
This vintage stands out for a lower-than-usual pH, which gives it heightened acidic tension and a particularly pronounced mineral dimension.

A vibrant expression of terroir in IGP Méditerranée by Miraval

The estate
Located in Correns in Provence, Château Miraval covers 600 hectares, including 30 hectares of vines cultivated according to organic farming. While its origins date back to Roman times, the current bastide was built in the 17th century. Made famous by its legendary recording studio created in 1977, the estate is today jointly owned by Brad Pitt and Yuri Shefler (Tenute del Mondo). Managed in partnership with the Perrin family, this iconic property has established its reputation around the world by brilliantly combining art, musical culture and viticultural excellence.

The vineyard
The plots dedicated to the production of this IGP Méditerranée wine are partly located around the estate's famous recording studio, as well as at the foot of the Montagne de Cézanne. The vineyard reaches an average altitude of 350 metres, benefiting from traditional dry-stone terraces. The vines flourish on clay-limestone soils rich in chalk, an ideal terroir that imparts a characteristic mineral and saline signature to the grapes.

The vintage
The year was marked by particularly demanding weather conditions. The growing cycle began with frost episodes in May, followed by destructive hailstorms in July. September, unusually cool and damp, considerably slowed down the ripening process of the berries. These climatic challenges resulted in lower yields with smaller-sized grapes, but allowed for exceptional aromatic concentration and beautiful natural acidity.

Winemaking and aging
The crafting of this white wine relies on gentle methods aimed at preserving the brilliance of the fruit. The musts are vinified in tulip-shaped concrete vats with a rounded base. This unique ovoid architecture creates a natural convection movement that keeps the lees in continuous suspension. This technique brings roundness and a silky texture to the wine, without resorting to bâtonnage or oak aging.

Grape varieties
This white wine is the result of a blend showcasing Rolle, the emblematic grape variety of the Mediterranean region, complemented by Grenache Blanc.
