The Mezan Dominican Republic 2012 is produced from freshly crushed sugarcane grown in the Dominican provinces of San Pedro de Macoris, La Romana, La Altagracia and El Seibo. Distillation takes place in a 5-column still at the AFD (Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos) distillery, founded in 2009 and considered one of the most modern in the Caribbean.

This rum benefits from 10 years of aging in ex-American bourbon casks, split between 3 years in a tropical climate in the Dominican Republic and 7 years in a continental climate in Europe. This dual maturation allows it to develop remarkable aromatic complexity while preserving its freshness. The cuvée perfectly embodies the Mezan philosophy with a production free of additives, coloring and chill filtration. This exceptional vintage guarantees a rare exclusivity.
