Appearance
A richer, darker hue than previous editions, reflecting the unprecedented influence of antique sherry casks. In the glass, this spirit reveals a beautiful viscosity with slow, beaded tears that herald a silky texture.

Nose
Deep and indulgent, it opens with aromas of café latte, butterscotch and orange cream. Subtle secondary notes of fruitcake, dates and toffee mingle with hints of cantaloupe melon and stewed apples.

Palate
The attack is silky and indulgent. Layers of café latte and orange cream give way to rich woody notes, nougat, toasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate. The finish is long, flavoursome and dominated by an indulgent sweetness reminiscent of milk chocolate, dried fruits and spices.

Pairings and tasting moments
For an optimal experience, serve this whisky lightly chilled in a large wine glass to allow its complex aromas to fully unfold. Adding an ice cube or a dash of water is possible to explore its evolution. On the culinary side, it pairs wonderfully with Parma ham and a fresh pear for a refined sweet and savoury contrast. It also enhances sweet and salty popcorn, a syrup waffle (stroopwafel) or a coffee and walnut cake.

Mixology
Although it is first and foremost an exceptional whisky to be savoured neat, its creamy texture and indulgent notes can elevate sophisticated dessert-style cocktails, or add a unique touch to classics such as the Espresso Martini or the Manhattan.

Founded in 2000 by American John Glaser, who came from the world of wine, Compass Box has shaken up the conventions of Scotch whisky. Established in Scotland, the House has stood out for its complete transparency and its determination to elevate grain whisky to the rank of an exceptional product. A pioneer, it has educated enthusiasts on the art of blending and the importance of ageing. Today, the company has begun a new chapter: the investment fund Caelum Capital is the majority owner, succeeding Bacardi. Creation is now entrusted to Angela D'Orazio, Whisky Creative Director, who carries on Compass Box's legacy of innovation and excellence with remarkable technical mastery.

Hedonism Release 2026: The pinnacle of grain blending
Created in 2000 as the very first Blended Grain Scotch Whisky ever marketed in the world, Hedonism has become an annual limited edition since February 2024. The Hedonism Release 2026 represents the oldest and rarest version ever produced by the House. This masterful blend brings together exceptionally mature grain whiskies, aged from 20 to 31 years, sourced notably from the Strathclyde, Port Dundas and Cameronbridge distilleries.

For the first time in the history of this Scotch whisky, the maturation incorporates antique sherry casks alongside the traditional first-fill bourbon casks and older casks. This innovation brings unprecedented structure, depth and maturity, while preserving the signature creamy elegance of the range.

Presented in an elegant gift box, the bottle pays tribute to art and femininity. Each annual edition invites a female artist to reinvent the label: for 2026, it is the artist Emma Hack who designs the artwork, with Scottish actress Karen Gillan as muse, thereby linking craftsmanship to cultural heritage.
