The estate
Located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, Mas Cal Demoura is an estate whose pioneering spirit and high-quality cuvées actively contribute to the development of Languedoc wines. Founded in the 1990s, the estate has been owned since 2004 by Isabelle and Vincent Goumard, whose ambition is to reveal the potential of this exceptional Jonquières terroir through each of their wines.
The vineyard
A benchmark among Languedoc wines, Mas Cal Demoura tends a 16-hectare vineyard whose soils consist mainly of limestone scree and clay-limestone. The organically farmed vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate tempered by the cool air of the Larzac, while also benefiting from a maritime influence that limits the effects of drought.
The wine
Les Combariolles 2020 from Mas Cal Demoura is a Terrasses du Larzac wine produced from a parcel selection on the lieu-dit of the same name, where the soils consist of limestone scree.
Vinification and ageing
Aged for 12 months in demi-muids, followed by a further 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
