The 2020 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Spätlese (White Capsule) is concentrated and flinty on the pure, intense and complex nose. On the palate, this is an intense, tense and piquant, very dense and perfectly round Riesling with peppery notes caused by crushed slate plates. The finish is not just intense and long but crunchy, saline and oh-so-tensioned. Very long and intense. A great Spätlese that is far too young. 11% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

So much spring blossom that it takes you back a bit. Wonderfully succulent palate with strident acidity that lifts you off the ground and promises you the heavens. So vibrant and clean at the very long, pure finish. Drink or hold.
