The estate
Markus Molitor is an estate in the Mosel, in Germany, bearing the name of its founder. Markus Molitor took over his father's exceptional house in 1984 at the age of 20. He represents the eighth generation of his family to cultivate wine. He gave his name to the estate, thus affirming his ambition to restore Mosel Riesling to its former glory.
Winemaking and aging
Whole bunch pressing. Natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks before bottling for the second fermentation, followed by aging on lees for over seven years. Disgorged in May 2024.
