A fresh and structured wine from a Chablis Premier Cru
The estate
Founded in 1923 in Burgundy, La Chablisienne is the greatest wine producer in Chablis, as well as one of the most renowned winemaking cooperatives in France.
The vineyard
The Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent 2018 by La Chablisienne is a Chablis wine produced from vineyards located on the right bank of the Serein. Neighbouring Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses, this Premier Cru enjoys perfect south-west exposure. The vines, which are around 30 years old, are planted on soils composed of limestone and marl which date from Middle and Upper Kimmeridgian times.
Vinification and ageing
Cold, static settling before starting fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in tanks. This Chablis 1er cru wine is aged for 15 months on fine lees and in tanks and barrels.
The blend
Chardonnay (100%).
