Description
A very limited-edition case showcasing the evolution of grape varieties in a great Saint-Julien red wine
The estate
With wines that, vintage after vintage, achieve remarkable heights of excellence and elegance, the Château Léoville Las Cases is today among the most emblematic estates of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.
The vineyard
Château Léoville Las Cases is a Saint-Julien wine from a 55-hectare vineyard planted within the famed Clos de Léoville, whose complexity forms a true mosaic of terroirs. Located near the Gironde, the vineyard benefits from the river’s thermal-regulating effect, ensuring mild temperatures and providing a barrier against frost. Combined with Günz-era gravel soils resting on gravelly-sandy subsoils with clay layers of varying depth, the terroir of Château Léoville Las Cases brings together all the conditions necessary to produce wines of legendary stature.
A unique case
Released in a limited edition of only 100 cases, the Caisse Cépages 1982 from Château Léoville Las Cases brings together exceptional single-varietal wines aged in barrel and bottled under the same conditions as the estate’s Grand Vin.
Since 1979, one barrel of each grape variety has been kept in the estate’s cellars to observe its evolution.
A refined invitation to an exceptional tasting, this case allows you, for an evening, to step into the cellar master’s shoes and create your own blend to highlight the evolution of a renowned wine and its component grape varieties.

2 bottles of Grand Vin de Léoville Las Cases 1982
