2015 Cote de Provence Sainte-Victoire (Rosé)
Chateau Coussin’s 2015 Victoire Rosé is 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, and 20% Syrah. The vineyard lies on limestone-clay soils formed by old, pebbled alluvium: relics of large cones deposited by torrents running down Sainte-Victoire Mountain. To the South, the terroir is bordered by Mount Olympus and Mont Aurelien (mountain).
This 2015 rosé, from the Cote de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation, exhibits a clear, peach-tinted, pale rose hue. Chateau Coussin’s 2015 Sainte Victoire Rosé reveals a pleasant nose, with white fruits: white peach or pear. Light hints of flowers and broom complement the bouquet. The 2015 rosé offers fresh, intense palate with hints of pink grapefruit along with the appellation distinct underlying mineral character.
