Produced under the appellation Coteaux Varois, Miraval's 2014 white is a blend of Rolle (95%) and White Grenache (5%). The robe is bright, clear and luminous. On the nose, the wine develops considerable complexity with notes of white flowers, linden, peach and sweet spices (liquorice). The mineral character on the palate extends into a delicate bitterness. With a fresh, savoury character and a lingering aroma, the 2014 vintage reveals a minerality unique to the great soils of this region, resulting in a very ethereal white, simultaneously precise and rich.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Made from mostly Vermentino, the 2014 Coteaux Varois Blanc was raised all in tank with the idea to keep as much freshness as possible. It offers lots of lemon, citrus and light minerality in a deliciously quaffable, juicy, well made style that keeps you pouring another glass. Drink this beauty anytime over the coming year or so.
