The Bollinger Rosé is an intense and quality champagne. It is the result of a unique blend of red wine of which 85% comes from Grand crus plots especially dedicated to its production. The particularity of this rosé champagne is the combination of only 5% of this wine to the blend of Special Cuvée. It is the proof of a great technical nature thanks to a perfect symbiosis of the varietals. The Bollinger Rosé is also characterised by a viticulture and winemaking technique proper to Burgundy. The green harvest reduces the grape quantity to obtain a fruit rich in aromas. The grapes are harvested by hand, then selected on tables before pressing, and finally, the cold pre-maceration is done. The creation of the blend is based on the use of two crops, either fermented in small stainless steel containers or in old oak barrels. Its dosage is balanced. The particularity of this rosé champagne also comes from the ageing, which is twice as long as the minimum aging period, required by the appellation. After disgorgement, the wine rests for 3 to 6 months.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The NV Brut Rose comes across as delicate and even a touch frail. Sweet berries, crushed flowers and spices waft from the glass in this feminine Champagne. The NV Brut Rose is best enjoyed as aperitif wine over the next few years. This is Lot L109004. Disgorged December 13, 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013.
