The estate
During his first trip to South America in 1988, and more precisely to Mendoza, American winemaker Paul Hobbs launched his project to create a wine estate on these remarkable high-altitude terroirs. Vina Cobos was founded in 1998 in Luján de Cuyo, an exceptional terroir located on the foothills of the Andes.
Always in pursuit of excellence, this winemaker innovates both in vineyard management and in his winemaking techniques. Rigorously selected from prestigious high-altitude vineyards, the estate's wines stand out for their minerality, balance, and elegance.
Visionary and passionate, Paul Hobbs over the years has become a key figure, contributing to the reputation of Malbec and the international rise of Argentine wines.
The vineyard
The Cobos Malbec from Vina Cobos is a Mendoza wine recognized by international critics for its exceptional quality.
The vintage
The 2022 vintage was favorable for red grape varieties, with gradual ripening thanks to a cool summer, resulting in good concentration and strong color intensity, particularly for Malbec.
Blend
Malbec (100%).
