Description
Characteristics and Tasting Notes of Musigny Grand Cru Domaine Louis Jadot 2022
Tasting
Appearance
The appearance reveals a deep, bright, and clear ruby hue.
Nose
The bouquet is of great finesse, blending aromas of ripe red fruits, violet, undergrowth, and delicate touches of sweet spices.
Palate
The palate seduces with its elegance and suppleness. The texture is fine, supported by a silky tannic structure and a beautiful aromatic intensity. The overall balance is perfect, with a persistent finish, typical of the great Pinot Noirs from the Côte de Nuits.
Food and Wine Pairings
This grand cru from Burgundy ideally accompanies delicate meats such as a roast veal, steak tartare, or moussaka. It also pairs very well with a Burgundy fondue.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve between 16 and 17°C. This wine can be enjoyed now, but its aging potential will allow it to evolve favorably until around 2052.
The Elegance and Texture of a Great Red Wine from Burgundy
The Estate
Founded in 1859, Maison Louis Jadot is an essential institution in Burgundy. Its history actually began in 1826 with the acquisition of the Clos des Ursules, an emblematic Beaune Premier Cru. With a prestigious vineyard and a rigorously transmitted expertise, Maison Louis Jadot has always been committed to revealing the authenticity of Burgundy's terroirs. In 2022, Thomas Seiter took over as director of the house, succeeding Pierre-Henry Gagey, while Thibault Gagey, his son, manages the general direction.
The Vineyard
This Musigny Grand Cru comes from a parcel ideally exposed to the east, at about 320 meters altitude. The limestone soil imparts a refined structure and beautiful minerality to the wine, signatures of this exceptional terroir.
Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir.
