The 2009 Barbaresco Gallina from Ugo Lequio is produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from the historical cru Gallina from the village of Neive, which is famous for its vineyards mostly facing south, suited to give structured long lasting wines. With his garnet to ruby red color the 2009 Barbaresco Gallina is complex on the nose with hints of liquorice and pepper and rose aromas. On the palate this Nebbiolo from Ugo Lequio is intense and tangy with a pleasant balance. The well-proportioned structure and the spicy flavours make this a very elegant and aristocratic wine.
