In 2015, Chateau Lynch-Bages vinified a second vin with Cabernet Sauvignon accents; indeed, it is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot. The 2015 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a second vin with a structure that seems more emphasised than in the last vintages. The tannic ripeness of this Pauillac is perfect and carries the wine from attack to finish. The purple-tinted deep red Echo de Lynch-Bages frankly expresses a delicious and intense aromatic palette of black fruit (dark berry), followed by some spicy hints. This wine shines thanks to its freshness on the palate, with a precise attack that gives way to a sappy, without rustic character, tannic structure on the mid-palate. This tactile sensation will fade at the end of the ageing pocess. This Pauillac is a good approach to the surprising potential of Cabernet Sauvignons on this greatly classic vintage.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Echo de Lynch Bages is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot, matured in one-year-old barrels. It has a fragrant, finely tuned bouquet of blackberry, pencil lead and a touch of citrus fruit - scents that gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, the acidity well judged, gentle in the mouth, but building in fruit intensity to a pleasurable graphite-tinged finish. One of those deuxième vins where more is less. This is a well-crafted Echo...echo...echo...
