Founded in 1994 by Bernard Dugat-Py, who later took his wife's maiden name, Domaine Dugat-Py is one of Gevrey-Chambertin's finest estate on Burgundy's Côte de Beaune.
A family of winegrowers, the origins of the Dugat-Py family date back to the 17th century. Today, Bernard Dugat and his son Loïc represent the 13th generation of winegrowers, carrying forward the excellence and expertise of the great wines of Burgundy.
It was in 1975 that Bernard Dugat made his first wine and bought plots of land. Today, the Domaine Dugat-Py vineyard covers more than 10 hectares of vines planted on some of Burgundy's finest terroirs, including Pommard and Gevrey-Chambertin.
Having been converted to organic viticulture in 2003, Domaine Dugat-Py obtained organic certification in 2015, with plots ploughed by horse. A veritable showcase, the magnificent vineyard is managed with the utmost respect for the terroir and receives constant attention.
The wines are aged for 18 to 24 months in superb vaulted cellars dating back almost a thousand years, built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Crafted with passion and displaying a unique style, Dugat-Py wines boast great purity of fruit, power and fleshy body, predestining them to evolve beautifully with a few years in the cellar.
