A balanced and complex IGP Pays du Var white wine

The estate

Built during the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was acquired in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet who sought to bring the estate back to its former glory. The estate then happened upon Monique and Etienne Matton who, thanks to their dedicated work, greatly contributed to establishing the reputation of Château Minuty on the finest tables in the French Riviera. Today, the brothers, Jean-Etienne and François Matton, have taken over the running of this estate with great dignity, all while injecting a modern spirit.

The vineyard

Produced in the IGP Vin de Pays du Var appellation, Blanc et Or by Minuty is made from a vineyard located on the Gassin and Ramatuelle hillsides. This south-west facing terroir benefits from a Mediterranean climate and is planted on soil composed of schist, clay and sand. The High Environmental Value certified vines are cultivated in a well-preserved environment with a rich ecosystem.

Vinification and ageing

Manual harvesting of slightly under-ripe grapes in order to preserve their aromatic brilliance. Short skin maceration before settling. Selection of juices followed by alcoholic fermentation at low temperature. No malolactic fermentation.

This wine is made exclusively from free-run juice.

Nose

The nose reveals a broad and complex aromatic palette.

Palate

Ample and well-balanced, the palate is seduced by this wine's aerial feel along with its finish that exudes delicious iodine and aniseed notes.

Food and wine pairing

Blanc et Or 2021 by Minuty will pair beautifully with seafood (sea urchin, oysters, fine fish) but also pissaladière, duck foie gras, raw meat tartare or carpaccio or sorbets for dessert.

Service

For an optimal tasting experience, serve between 8 and 12°C depending on the season (8 to 10°C in summer and between 10 and 12°C the rest of the year).
