Description
A Balanced and Sensual White Wine from Meursault Village
The name "Meursault" comes from the word "Marsault", which is a type of willow tree that has a bark rich in tannins and a wood resistant to moisture. The terroir of the plot is rather stony and rests on a marl and limestone bedrock. The Meursault Village from Maison Louis Latour is a Chardonnay white wine made from vines with an average age of 25-years-old.
The 2014 Meursault Village from Maison Louis Latour has a beautiful pale yellow colour. The nose offers a great complexity with citrus, candied lemon, fresh butter and toast aromas. The wine shows balance and sensuality in the mouth with hints of fresh hazelnuts. The finish offers a splendid mineral tension. Keep until 2017-2019.
