The Grand Reflet 2007 of François Villard estate is a red Saint-Joseph with a strong and open nose on red and dark berries, mixed with tobacco, balsamic fragrances such as blue cedar, on a mineral backbone. The latter reminds one of the friable granitic character of the soils and subsoils of the appellation. Grand Reflet 2007 palate offers a delicate attack that leads to a full-bodied, without being aggressive, mid-palate on perfectly integrated tannins. The finish is mineral, graphite and offers an enjoyable freshness. This wine has not completely opened up yet but will reveal all its secrets around 2018. Very good wine.
