Domaine Jacques Prieur vineyard is located south of Beaune, on a very pebbly soil, behind slopes facing south. Champs Pimont wines are generous, powerful, with really intense aromas, and over 20 years of cellar potential. Beaune 1er cru Les Champs Pimont 2011 from Domaine Jacques Prieur features an intense violet-tinted ruby red colour. The nose exudes spices and smoky fragrances such as gunflint. Noticeable dark fruit aromas such as cassis, dark berries and cherry remain. Even though this Burgundy can be appreciated young, it is best to let the wine fully open up in the cellar for a few years before drinking it.
