Description
A fruity and fleshy white wine from Burgundy
The estate
Originally from Flanders, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen moved to the Mâconnais part of Burgundy in 1976 where they became managers of a small estate and learned to work the vines and make wine. Driven by their enthusiasm, instinct and sensitivity, they acquired a few plots of vines on the heights of Pierreclos in 1979 and founded Domaine Guffens-Heynen.
The vineyard
The 2018 "Tri de Chavigne" by the Guffens-Heynen estate is a Mâcon-Pierreclos wine that stems from the 3.3-hectare Pierreclos terroir. In the south of the Mâconnais region, the Pierreclos vineyard, located in the Mâcon-Villages appellation, is planted on sandy and granitic soils.
The blend

The tasting
Colour
This wine showcases an intense straw yellow colour.
Nose
The bouquet is fruity and floral. Enticing aromas of rose and citrus fruit offer a great finesse on the nose.
Palate
On the palate, the wine seduces with its lively attack. The palate is then generous and fleshy. The finish is long and aromatic.
