2012 Echezeaux Grand Cru, Burgundy.
The 2012 Echezeaux Grand Cru from Domaine des Perdrix was vinified by Robert Vernizeau. The wine offers a purple-tinted bright red colour. On the nose, it is fruity and tangy on crispy small fruit aromas. On the palate, the 2012 Echezeaux Grand Cru of Domaine des Perdrix is supple and fresh with a persistent and salivating finish.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Echézeaux Grand Cru from Domaine des Perdix has a slightly disjointed nose at first, melds together a little with aeration, but stubbornly herbaceous and earthy at the expense of fruit expression. The palate is medium-bodied with light, sinewy tannin, well-judged acidity but a rather conservative finish that leaves you wanting more. It's just a little too slight for a Grand Cru? Still, I would contentedly finish a bottle!
