Description
A Saint-Julien red wine with a dynamic finish
Produced from a vineyard of 104 hectares in the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Talbot is a 4ème Cru Classé en 1855. On average, the vines are 61 years old and are located on typical Médoc gravel. The wine is aged in barrels, with a proportion of 50% new barrels. The blend of the 2013 vintage is composed of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot.
The Château Talbot 2013 reveals a nose with bright aromas of white-fleshed cherries, rose petals and ripe lemon zest. One can observe the characteristic notes of well-managed ageing. The palate is taut, straightforward and dynamic. The wine offers excellent tannins and an extremely dynamic finish.
