Description
A Provence rosé wine that harmoniously combines intensity and refinement
The estate
Roger Zannier, owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro region for over 25 years, acquired Château Saint-Maur in 2011 with the ambition of making it a benchmark for Provence wines. Located a few kilometres from Saint-Tropez, Château Saint-Maur has been a Cru Classé since 1955.
With a surface area of around one hundred hectares, the vineyard rests on a clay-limestone soil rich in schist and quartz.
The vineyard
Clos de Capelune 2021 by Château Saint-Maur is a Côtes de Provence wine that stems from a rigorous selection of plots. The vines rest on clay-limestone soil rich in schist and quartz.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are cold-macerated at low temperature, followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks.
