Description
For several generations, the wine from Château Rieussec is considered to be one of the first Sauternes references. Classified as a 1st Grand cru in 1855, it subtlely marries Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle. Château Rieussec 2014 combines the oily texture, the quaffing of the Sémillon (93%), the freshness of the Sauvignon (5%) and the aromatic subtlety of the Muscadelle (2%). It has a crystal clear golden yellow robe. On the nose, it is dynamic, broad and exuberant, on spicy (ginger), floral ( yellow rose petal, dried linden-tree) notes, and exotic frangrances (mango and fresh pineapple). On the mouth, this sauternes is bold, nervous, and straightforward with a sensation of sap. The dessert wine is concentrated, pure and ample. The wole is aery and long. It is a great and magnificent Rieussec with a strong potential.
