Description
A traditional and elegant Sangiovese
The estate
The estate is located on the lands of the Comtes de Bracci in Tuscany. The name La Braccesca is taken from ancestors and from its emblem : an arm with a sword. The Antinori family bought the estate in 1990. The 237 hectares allow the production of wines in the Nobile di Montepulciano and Cortona appellations, made with different grape varieties such as Syrah, Prugnolo Gentile and Sangiovese.
The vineyard
Santa Pia is a vineyard of 15 hectares in its eponymous location, near Montepulciano in Tuscany. Its terroir is silty, enhanced by "skeletons" - rocky deposits - that give finesse to the wines.
The wine
Antinori - La Braccesca: Vigneto Santa Pia Riserva 2016 is a Tuscan wine made from the Sangiovese grape variety. This wine is balanced and elegant and expresses the characteristics of the wines of the Nobile di Montepulciano appellation.
