Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges La Charmotte comes from vines planted on 30-40cm of clay before hitting the limestone. The vines were planted in 1962 and this year it includes 20% whole cluster and is aged in one-year barrel. It has a delicate nose of blood orange and fresh cherries that gains momentum in the glass with a little encouragement. The palate is very well-defined on the entry with iodine-tinged bright red fruit. The acidity is very well-judged with a taut black currant and bilberry finish that displays impressive density. This is very fine for a village cru.
