2007 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru from Burgundy.
Olivier Leflaive offered a skilfully vinified 2007 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Saint-Marc. The calcareous-clay brown forest soils give this wine a delicate and balanced style. This golden yellow wine has straw-coloured highlights. The nose is characteristic of the Chassagne-Montrachet with exotic fruit and brioche notes, as well as a hint of honey. The palate reveals a delicate texture and fills the palate with candied fruit aromas balanced by a menthol mineral character. Through this quite unknown Premier Cru, Olivier Leflaive reveals a strong terroir.
