Wine Advocate-Parker :
Leading off the reds and a wine with outstanding potential, the 2014 Cornas Les Arênes (Arênes is the Spanish word for very finely decomposed granite) comes from the southern region of the appellation; it was completely destemmed and raised in 20% new oak. It's an elegant, finesse-driven red that has medium to full-bodied richness, excellent ripeness and lots of garrigue, black cherries and smoked herbs on the nose. It's more reminiscent of the 2012 than the 2013, and should drink nicely on release.
