2006 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, Burgundy.
The 2006 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru of Maison Louis Latour is balanced and harmonious. As soon as the 12th century, the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux abbey, proprietors of Clos Vougeot, have practiced viticulture there. The Clos Vougeot is the biggest Burgundy Grand Cru appellation with a 52 hectares vineyard.
The 2006 Clos Vougeot displays a garnet red colour with carmine highlights. The nose reveals woodland and delicate vanilla notes. The palate is ample and complex with grilled hazelnut aromas and a hint of violet. Louis Latour offered a balanced wine in harmony with its terroir.
