Description
A Chassagne-Montrachet White Wine with Tension on the Finish
The cuvee "Morgeot" takes its name from the Latin "margo" meaning "border" with the plot being on the border between the Cote d'Or and Saone-et-Loire departments that are in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet. This Maison Louis Latour Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" is a white wine from Chardonnay grapes that come from a terroir of clay and chalk subsoils.
The "Morgeot 2014" Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru from the Maison Louis Latour has a bright, pale yellow colour. The nose has brioche, vanilla and exotic fruits (pineapple, mango) aromas. The wine shows roundness and generosity in the mouth that develop toast and pineapple flavours. There is a superb tension in the finish. Keep until 2019-2021.
