2006 Saint-Julien Second Wine from Chateau Lagrange, Bordeaux.
The Chateau Lagrange vineyard stretches over 111 hectares of red varietals, located on Saint-Julien. The estate Second Wine, Les Fiefs de Lagrange, is produced from young vines. This 2006 is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
This 2006 Saint-Julien exhibits a blue-purple dense and deep colour. The delicate nose offers fruits, white flowers and chocolate notes, underlined by a few vanilla notes. On the palate, this wine is supple without being easy; lush and pleasant, without being light. The wine develops on the mid-palate and on finish into a solid yet not aggressive or rough tannic structure. The 2006 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is very pleasant and accessible.
