E. Guigal : Brune et Blonde 2010

From steep vineyards in terraces of the Cote Blonde (mainly calcareous siliceous soil) and the Cote Brune (rich soils in iron oxide), the 2010 E.Guigal Brune et Blonde is a blend of exceptional terroirs. Composed of 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier, it was also aged in oak barrels for 36 months (40% new barrels). The ruby-tinted dark red 2010 E.Guigal  Cote-Rotie Brune et Blonde offers a complex aromatic bouquet. It is dominated by spicy, fruity and wooden notes. On the palate, the tannins are round and blended. One can find fruity notes with raspberry and blackberry. This wine has a good balance between minerality and ripe tannins.
