Wine Advocate-Parker :
A tannic, stony demeanor renders the Prieur 2007 Clos Vougeot far less approachable and more somber than most wines of its vintage, although ripe blackberry, cherry, beet root, and bittersweet chocolate lend an expansive richness that keeps it from becoming outright austere. An underlying sense of gum-numbing tannin is abetted by the prominence of barrel characteristics. I question the likelihood that it would merit cellaring for more than 4-6 years or in hope that tannin will melt away.
