Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Volnay 1er Cru En Caillerets comes from vines mostly planted in 1976 and sees 30% new oak. It has a charming and quite seductive bouquet: blackberry and griottes, those wet limestone notes percolating through with gentle aeration. The palate is supple on the entry, quite high-toned compared to its peers with a succulent, candied cassis and black cherry finish, then a saline aftertaste. Give this a couple of years in bottle to shave off the edges.
