2013 Echezeaux Grand Cru (Pinot Noir)
David Duband's Echezeaux Grand Cru vintage is produced from 70-year old Pinot Noir vines for exceptional ageing potential. The 2013 Echezeaux Grand Cru displays a gorgeous purple-tinted, dark hue. The full, luscious nose combines red and black fruits with hints of iris. This Burgundy offers a fabulous palate and beautiful length carried by great strength and rich tannins.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Echézeaux Grand Cru, matured in 35% new oak, has an inward-looking bouquet with introspective black fruit laced with forest floor/sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, quite spicy in the mouth with good grip, a more masculine Echézeaux with cracked black pepper toward the assertive finish.
