The robe is vivid red and deep with no trace of evolution. The nose is intensely fruity, and strongly scented with a lot of freshness. The mouth is very well structured, full, silky and round, with gorgeous tannins. The finishing is unctuous. This bottle contains an amazing vintage.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
An attractive wine from the owners of Montrose and, at this time, the brilliant Jean-Bernard Delmas, who made all the great Haut-Brions between 1959 and 2003. This wine displays sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, some earth and spice, medium body, and moderate but sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
