2014 Pessac-Leognan, Cru Classé from Bordeaux
This beautiful 2014 Chateau Latour-Martillac is a classic. It displays a dark red colour with tile red highlights. The bouquet is fruity and elegant. On the palate, this Pessac-Leognan is ample and reveals pleasant ripe tannins. This Cru Classé can perfectly be paired with any kind of meat. Roasted pig cheeks with five-spice powder would reveal the empyreumatic aromas of this wine, while the dense and velvety tannins would wonderfully match with the rich and tight texture of a Rossini tournedos.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Although not a blockbuster, the 1990 is a light to medium-bodied, elegant Graves, with a fragrant, earthy, berry and mineral-scented nose, as well as ripe flavors. Exceptionally easy to drink, it exhibits soft tannins, good depth, and an overall sense of finesse and balance. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
