For the Château La Fleur de Bouärd, the 2015 vintage - which was harvested under excellent climatological conditions - is comprised this year of a blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Fleur de Bouärd 2015 is displays sensual and refreshing aromas of cocoa, mint chocolate, fig and red roses petals. Aeration accentuates the red fruit qualities of the wine (Queen Anne cherry). The tannins are very elegant and alluring. In the mouth the wine is lively; the palate is voluptuous and fruity with a generous body and a great balance. It’s a beautiful wine that tempts without overwhelming.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Fleur de Bouard has a powerful redcurrant, wild strawberry and almost, confit-like bouquet that manages to retain satisfactory delineation and freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy ripe tannin, layers of blackberry and blueberry fruit laced with white pepper and a touch of soy, leading to a structured finish. It will need 4-6 years in bottle for those tannins to soften and approach its drinking window. I would just like more joie-de-vivre - it seems too serious at this stage.
