Lallier's Art Deco box set: three wonderful vintages together

Created in 1906, Lallier is a Champagne House based in Ay. The Lallier Art Deco Box is a limited edition including the brut vintages of the 2002, 2003 and 2004 of the House, which are three exceptional years. These wines come from the great growths of Ay and the Côte des Blancs. During vinification, the alcoholic fermentation is carried out with Lallier leaven and the malolactic fermentation is partial. These champagnes are aged on lees and disgorged about 5 months before shipping. They are dosed from 5 to 6 g/l.

Champagne Lallier Brut 2002 is made from a blend of 55% of Pinot Noir and 45% of Chardonnay. It has a golden colour, luminous and with amber reflections. It also reveals persistent and extremely fine bubbles. The nose is rich and generous, with scents of flowers, red fruits and citrus fruits. Even more, one can notice subtle notes of cellar ageing, brioche, toasted bread and fresh butter. On the palate, this Champagne Lallier Brut 2002 reveals a formidable balance between its freshness and its maturity. It is creamy and supported by a very discreet effervescence

Champagne Lallier Brut 2003 benefits from a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. This exceptional vintage reflects its historic harvest. After spending many years in the cellars, it reveals fragrances of mocha and encaustic (wax) mixed with notes of stewed fruit and honey. This wine shows fullness and generosity on the palate, while preserving its freshness and balance with its magnificent mousse.

Champagne Lallier Brut 2004 presents a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. It develops on the nose aromas of subtly candied fruits (white and yellow fruits), before offering greedy notes of dried fruits (hazelnut, fig) and roasting (mocha). It is generous on the palate, which is also frank. One can note a powerful finish with a splendid balance.
