2013 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Chardonnay, Burgundy.
The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Chaussées of Bruno Colin is a very floral, fruity, and aromatic wine in its youth, and it is elegant on the whole. The Chardonnay vineyard grows on a sunny plot made of a calcareous-clay soil. The 2013 Les Chaumées was aged for 14 months in oak barrels (25% new barrels).
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Chaumées, which came directly from tank, showed a little too much reduction on the nose to comment upon. The palate seems to have plenty of energy with good acidity and sufficient fruit on the finish. This bodes well, but I will reserve judgment until it is in bottle.
