Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Maltroie comes from 0.25-hectares of fine, one of five barrels new. This has a strict bouquet, but with commendable intensity: very focused with smoke and flint scents gathering pace in the glass. The palate is fresh and lively with crisp citrus lemon and dried apricot notes: cohesive and harmonious with a dash of spice on the feisty finish. This is one of Au Pied de Mont Chauve's best contributions to the 2013 vintage.
